Tufin Orchestration Suite R21-3 provides centralized visibility into critical access policies

Tufin released Tufin Orchestration Suite R21-3, with a new integration with Zscaler Cloud Firewall, which is part of Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange, to centralize and simplify Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) policy management.

This release also provides enhanced functionality to help administrators minimize risk and streamline day-to-day operations. With Tufin’s new Security Policy Dashboard, security administrators benefit from centralized and instant visibility into key access policy issues for proactive resolution, in addition to enhanced automated workflows to help accelerate data center migration and compliance.

Centralize visibility and simplify policy management with Tufin and Zscaler integration

Using multiple siled tools to manage security policies on the hybrid cloud is complex, time consuming, and results in incomplete visibility into the security posture of the enterprise. In R21-3, Tufin extends its visibility and policy management capabilities to support the Zscaler Cloud firewall.

The integration allows organizations to gain unified visibility and standardize the management of Zscaler SASE policy rule security policies alongside policies from other vendors, directly from the Tufin console.

“We are excited about how our new integration work with Tufin will enable customers to accelerate their digital transformation through branch modernization and work from anywhere,” said Amit Raikar, vice president, Technology alliances and business development, Zscaler. “The integration of Tufin Orchestration Suite with the Zscaler Cloud firewall will provide common customers with centralized visibility into critical access policies to simplify and improve their cybersecurity posture. “

Provide critical insights for proactive remediation with the new Security Policy Dashboard

Using disparate solutions to get a holistic view and collecting critical risk indicators of the security posture of your hybrid environment requires data consolidation and analysis of multiple complex data points. Tufin’s new intuitive dashboard provides a unified, real-time overview of operational, security and compliance data from multiple security platforms.

The dashboard was designed in collaboration with Tufin users, to provide them with an instant view of the most critical metrics, such as security policy violations, expired and uncertified access rules, and recommendations from policy optimization. Users are alerted to issues in real time, where they can prioritize and resolve them before they create a downstream effect.

“The new dashboard gives Tufin users granular and actionable insights, making it easier than ever to manage security policies across multiple security platforms,” said Yoram Gronich, senior vice president of products and engineering, Tufin. “An important step is one more way for Tufin to lead the charge by automating the management of security policies in the hybrid environment. “

Accelerate data center migration through automated workflows

A typical data center migration process involves cloning existing network policies, so that newly migrated networks maintain the same level of security, as well as removing outdated subnets and networks from existing policies and rule bases. These changes, if done manually on a mix of vendors and products, can be a tedious and error-prone process.

Additionally, security administrators often avoid removing migrated networks from policies for fear of causing an outage and disrupting business continuity. Leaving these networks in policies and rules can lead to an increase in the attack surface. With R21-3, users can leverage Tufin SecureChange workflows to automatically clone network security policies and remove obsolete networks from those policies in the multi-vendor hybrid environment.

Using automation to power both tasks is the most effective way to avoid configuration errors and helps administrators speed up datacenter migration projects while maintaining a strong security posture.

Tufin Orchestration Suite R21-3 will generally be available in December.
