An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients’ governance, risk and insurance team for a risk manager to join them.

They are looking for someone responsible for managing an enterprise-wide risk management program and a risk-based internal audit program. You will work closely with risk owners across the enterprise and ensure that the management team, board of directors and audit and risk committee are aware of any current risks and potential for the profitability, reputation and regulatory status of the group.
In addition, the risk manager will coordinate risk management activities and ensure that risk owners identify and assess threats, put in place plans in the event of a problem and design strategies and procedures to avoid, reduce or transfer risk with a focus on; regulatory risk, anti-fraud / money laundering and support for the integration of relevant enterprise-wide risk arrangements and registers, asset and liability registers and business continuity in the broad sense.

Holding a qualification in risk management (e.g. Institute of Risk Management) or relevant experience, you will have experience in designing risk management policies / procedures and risk maps. With the ability to quickly understand a range of procedures and operational practices relevant to audit and risk management plans, you will have knowledge of audit planning, testing and evaluation and recording of the system. With a thorough understanding of all elements of a risk-based audit engagement across the range of internal audits (routine and non-routine) across different functions, you will have a sound knowledge of risk and audit processes enterprise-wide, not just financial risk management and auditing.
