Msheireb Townhouses Majalis receives prestigious LEED Gold Green Building certification 445809
Msheireb Properties, the national real estate developer and subsidiary of the Qatar Foundation, announced on Tuesday that five Majalis townhouses in Msheireb Downtown Doha have received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) gold certificates.
Developed by the US Green Building Council, the LEED Gold Green Building certification is the world’s most widely used green building rating system and an international symbol of excellence.
The certification awarded to Majalis Townhouses is in addition to 32 LEED Platinum certificates and 37 other LEED Gold certificates for buildings and projects in downtown Msheireb in Doha, making the destination one of the highest concentrations of LEED certified sustainable buildings. It also adds to Msheireb Downtown Doha’s credentials as the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project.
Through design, construction and operating practices that improve environmental and human health, LEED-certified buildings help make the world more sustainable.

The five Majalis of Msheireb Downtown Doha have obtained LEED Gold certification for the implementation of practical and measurable strategies and solutions in areas such as sustainable development of sites, water savings, energy efficiency, selection materials and the quality of the indoor environment.
