June 30th

Break and play with the storytime librarians: 9 am to 9:10 am A short video, rhyme, song or book will be shared. For information: roundrocktexas.gov.

Resume in a Day: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Round Rock Public Library. Participants will leave the workshop with a completed curriculum vitae in hand. Those who submit their resumes at the end of the workshop will receive a review and suggestions within 24 hours. Record: roundrocktexas.gov.

Music on the Summer Main Series: Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on the Prete Main Street Plaza in downtown. People are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Face painting, balloon artists and free parking will be present. The series ends with Sir Woman. Release. For information: roundrocktexas.gov.

1st of July

Babytime Buzz: 9 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. online. A short video, rhyme, song or book will be shared. For more information: roundrocktexas.gov.

July 2nd

Reading is added (4-11 years): from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. via Zoom. Students in the Texas State University Round Rock Teacher Education Program will host a math and literacy hour with stories and concepts related to history. Adult guests are encouraged to ask questions and learn strategies. Record: roundrocktexas.gov.

July 3

Sertoma Independence Day Parade and Frontier Days: 8:30 am to 11:30 pm at Round Rock. Patriotic festivities will include a parade, festival, carnival, music and fireworks. For more details: roundrocktexas.gov.

July 9th

Night Swim for Adults: 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Cat Hollow Pool, 8600 O’Connor Drive, Round Rock. DJ Able will play pop and dance. For ages 21 and over. Cost: free, holders of a swimming pass; $ 5, resident of Brushy Creek Utility District; $ 15, non-residents. For more information: bcmud.org.

July 15th

2021 Veterans Summer Career Fair: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, 3001 Kalahari Blvd., Round Rock. Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area will join partners from the Texas Veterans Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission in hosting the event. Veterans, military personnel in transition, and spouses can connect with military-friendly recruiters from dozens of local businesses. July 26

Teen Adventure Travel: Teens ages 12 to 17 are welcome to board a bus at the Brushy Creek Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock, to take a supervised trip to Schlitterbahn. The charges cover the cost of transport and destination. Additional fees required for meals and personal purchases. Fifteen teenagers must be on each trip to organize the trip. Cost: $ 60, members of the BCCC; $ 65, residents of the Brushy Creek Utility District; $ 75, non-residents. For information: bcmud.org.
